Default h22a swap in my 6th gen accord (big problems)

I began a h22a swap into my 99 accord. I just dropped 1500 bucks more into the auto to manual conversion. I am having problems left and right. I can't get any of the motor mounts to line up properly, the power steering pump line doesnt reach, the throttle cable is way too long, these are just a few of my problems. I was tempted to abandon the project but there is already so much time and money invested in it. If anybody has pics of their swap, or advice on any of the above troubles, or anything, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You have to use a Prelude engine mount for the driver side, I believe.

Well the prelude mount doesnt line up with accord bracket, accord mount doesnt line up with h22 bracket. And by the way it is a 4 door lx. I contacted hasport, and they never heard of a 6th gen h22a swap. But I know someone's done it! It just seems like nothing lines up. When I purchased the engine from jdm I was told it was a very simple and common swap. It has been neither nor to this point.

im doin the same thing man, but with an h23. i HEARD that you are supposed to use the f23 bracket AND motor mount on the driver side. i tried taking the bracket from my f23 and putting it on the h23 block, but it didnt fit. supposedly it fits on the h22 block.

what part of your power steering line didnt reach? the piece going from the firewall to the top of the pump?

and what throttle cable did you use?

u help me, ill help you.

h22 motor mount bracket wont work, use the f23 bracket and make some kind or plate to attack the second bolt. I have the place racing motor mount but not the bracket.
For your power steering pump problem just remove the bolt holding it to the chassis on the bottom there is a clamp holding it down, remove it and problem solved there.

throttle cable use your accord one. If you need anymore help pm me and ill try to help out

if your telling him to use the f23 bracket, then he sohuld be able to use the f23 mount also. the bracket is what attaches to the actual block, the only question is:

does the f23 bracket fit the h22 block????

Yes it does, and it has been covered before.

No...use all of the mounts and brakets from the F23.

Swap the h22 bracket with the F23 bracket, and use the F23 mount. This has been covered before. Search.

I appreciate the advice. Let's see if I can sum it all up in better detail. f23 bracket and mount for front and rear, well, they all need to be f23 brackets and mounts, with the driver side bracket being modified. And what do you mean to take bolt out of chassis for steering pump, you mean remove pwr steering?

No modification...simply replace h22 engine bracket with F23 engine bracket .

so? I don't care if you don't believe me... that's your problem. Remember, I'm driving around in a 6th gen H22 accord, and you are not. LOL

Yeah, like I'm not helping out.

Tell me...from a picture can you tell whether an engine mount is from a H22, F23, or custom made? I'm giving specific details on how to solve that problem with the engine mount. Some people are ungreatful.

Second of all, you are trying to install a H23, correct?

Hint, "h22a swap in my 6th gen accord (big problems)"

i can try and send you pix of my swap...(see sig) although my car is a '00 coupe lx 5spd, i was able to use "ALL OF MY FACORTY MOUNTS." even the drivers (one hole lined up perfect on the bracket, and the other hole i drilled out...then put long 17mm bolt and nut to secure it). i've had problems posting pix on threads before but, if someone can help me out i'll post as many as you need. as far as the power steering pump issue, i used my accord bottom line (that goes to the rack) and has a pro-line hose shop splice in a 93+ lude upper line that goes to the pump.

That technique works, since I used to drive around like that, but then I was told by my shop to use the F23 bracket. I tried and it worked.

This topic has been covered before. I know since I created one about 7 months ago. --> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=689185

As you can see...klutch44 is obsessed with pictures and he has been sweating me for a long time.

Go on then... Show them a pic of your engine bay. I know you are shy because it is not al gay and pretty like them show cars, but maybe they'll appreciate your free info. OR let them go and drive around with cracked mounts for a while scratching their heads and wondering what the problem is.

Just gimme a call when you wanna put in them new axles.
