Car got Broken into!!
Yes......I guess even good old Calgary isn't safe anymore!!
Car is in a sheltered and secured parkade. But that doesn't mean ****! Building management says they aren't responsible.
Cops will be here in a few hours.
GET THIS......the vandals have put some **** in my fuel tank....how do I know, I looked around...there seems to be this brown liquid residue and the fuel door was open!
They've broken my centre console and stolen my CD's!
And to top it all off, they've ripped my driver seat!!
I can see exactly where they came in from..... FOKK!
BTW, all I have is a basic alarm, standard Acura chip-key.
I will have to tow the car to the dealership, cos I ain't starting it!!
Man this stinks!!!!!!

if you did thats where i would place the blame, i am saying this because most 'theives' dont rip your crap up and go into your fuel pump tank... they just steal and go away..

I don't know anyone here to **** off! HOwever, I did have an encounter with a riceboy in a Jetta a few weeks ago. He seemed cool and scared when I approached him, so dunno if he's involved.
There were some punks that just moved into my apt. bldg. One of them drives a 95 or so Integra RS, and they've been eyeing my car.
UPDATE: Cops showed up, we went down to the parkade (SIDE NOTE: I love cute CHICK cops!)
Noticed that my glove box was tampered with, they were trying to remove it, possibly to get to the ECU. Fuses were also all moved around in the main fuselage.
They couldn't do much. Now I have to wait for an adjuster/claims reporter and keep the cops updated.
Haven't started the car yet.....to afraid. Seems like something was added into it. I don't think there's a quick way of finding out what.

Dude! Read my post! I am suffering from the same as you are except I walked up on the guys before they could do major damage to the important stuff.
Oh yeah, my gas talk lid was open too but the cap didnt seem to be tampered with. Do you think I'm ok?

I am too weary to try to even start the car. If they've poured something into your tank, you would have noticed damage by now.
What sucks is insurance deductibles. I have a $1000 deductible, and damage is estimated at 700 bucks! So it looks like I'd have to pay for it myself!
Fokk........I dunno if I'm gonna get a better alarm, maybe invest in a good firearm!?

Yeah, up here, it falls under comprehensive coverage, which averages around $250 and goes all the way upto $1000.
I chose $1000 cos that made a huge difference in my premiums, and I figured, I would probably lose the entire car in a theft/vandalism scenario.

I feel your pain. This has happened to me before as well. Invest in a good alarm.
Yeah, No one really cares when an alarm goes off anymore. It's only awkward for the thief if your car is parked next to the car being stolen!!
So, my insurance company won't cover my CD's as my deductible is $500 and my CD's were worth less.
ANd they wan't me to START the car. They're nuts!! I guess damage is imminent.

I decided to cancel the damage claim....too much hassle, and the fuel tank seems fine.
Bastards stole my gym bag and mechanics toolset too....was in the trunk(which I couldn't open till I moved the car) had all my gym stuff and my cd player FOKK!!
Just bought that 200 piece craftsman toolset! Hadn't even had a chance to use it
BTW does anyone know what happened to that post about removing your ITR door lock switch?

A good alarm is one with a pager, that way u know when someone is ******* with your ****, piezzo siren doesn't hurt either, when mine goes off i think the whole block can hear it, i can hear it from inside my apartment two floors away on the other side of the building with my doors and windows closed, parking garages get some great amplification

side note, a lot of the time when the idiot theifs are trying to open your truck, they pull the gas tank lever thinking that the car is a 97-below integra which uses that type of trunk opener vs. the new 98+ tegs which use the lever on the trunk itself.
When my R was broken into a year ago I also found my gas tank lid opened. I was also worried about them pouring somthing into it. However when I undid the cap it still had that nice hiss sound to it which told me that they didn't touch it. I then came to that conclusion that they were trying to get into my trunk since they were stealing my stereo system.

i actually got mine in Fresno, car theft capital of the us a few years ago, i have an alpine 80-63 with the Millennium FX pager addon, it's third party but way nicer than that cumbersome thing alpine calls a pager, check with yoshi about the alpine systems, if i remember correctly he works for em.... as far as an install goes go to a highend shop, someplace filled with 80+ thousand dollar cars and whatnot, you get what you pay for when it comes to alarms, i paid about 1000 for my entire system, the place in fresno is called Jay's Alarms, they're awsome as far as service goes, the owner was the only one who worked on my car and when i come in with a problem or anything he drops everything to help me, and since the initial purchase i haven't had to pay for anything else..... there are a few ways you can tell a good shop besides their clientiel though, look for a place that hides your alarm throughout the car, and soders your connections as opposed to just screwing the wires in.... also you want to look into adding a backup battery, hood lock, etc... you can pick up piezo sirens at most any alarm shop i think, they are pretty common. -rob
About the gas cap thing -- when my R and my roommate's GS-R were broken into last year, both filler doors had been popped. When I asked the cops about that, they said that thieves often check there for spare keys -- seems that a lot of (stupid) people keep a spare key inside there.
i work at visions in sw call 240-2296 ask for tom , we can get you a more than basic alarm if you are wanting that, thats the ***** about the car, pointless **** like that makes you wonder what goes threw peoples heads...
You sound like Yoshi when he got his tools stolen as well
