Default gear ratio question/tranny swap

Alright I'm gonna have to put a new (aka used for my cheap ***) tranny in my 96 Accord EX soon cuz I got no reverse (annoying as hell). I've been told to put an H23 tranny in it (this is a manual by the way) among other things.

However would this make any improvement over my stock f22b1 tranny? I've looked all over and can't find any specific gear ratios. However I have looked at rebuild kits and they're the same part numbers for both trannys; leading me to believe they have the same ratios. So what gives, do these people not know what they're talking about?

Thanks in advance, I know this is complicated stuff.
