MSD ignitions.....5A vs 6A??
hey guys i am about to spend about 250 dollars on my car.....and decided to buy an ignition upgrade for my 92 accord. i currently have AEM short ram intake/chikara stepped header/and an apexi world sport exhaust! i was looking online and found an msd 5A ignition box and a 6A ignition(not the 6AL). i want to know which one i could run...is it possible to run either or?? What kind of gains could i imagine with this ignition. the 5A was 120 and the 6A was about 200!! any other good ignition systems!!??one more question....what all would i "need" to hook it up....coil?....plugs.....wires??? thnx guy/gals!!!!
upgrading your ignition is pointless and will not gain u anything.their only good for either nos.turbo,or s/c. i would just save your money and put it on other parts instead.
1) oem ignition are well designed no need for upgrade.
2) usefull if your going boost or nos

if you really want a red box than go with 6al
otherwise stock ignition is good enough...if you want you can just add a coil wich is less expensive and you can also save the ignitor for a distributer rebuild.
