deck where speakers are

what is the purpose of the deck where the rear speakers are. does it just hold the speakers. one more question what are the benifits of using the h22 trans on a f22 thanks for the help

i think that it also serves a design purpose, where the deck area serves as a crumple zone in a rear end impact.

shorter gears are going to make you rise in rpms quicker, personally i would find that as a disadvantage for a daily driver, but whatever floats your boat
