get a k20a2 RSX type S swap and call it a day for around $3500..

Swap is very easy and you don't need anyhting special.

The EURO Civic Type-r has the same engine

The JAPANESE Civic Type-r has the k20a engine that has more power and costs $5500.

The top and popular choices for swapping on an Ep3 are the k20a and k20a2.

K20a(+02 Civic Si - CTR)
-6 Speed Tranny
-LSD
-11.5:1 Compression ratio
-Power - 220hp@8000rpm
-Torque - 206ft@7000rpm
-Cost is around 4-6k max

K20a2(RSX-S - DC5)
-6 Speed Tranny
-No LSD
-11:1 compression ratio
-Power - 200hp@7400rpm
-Torque - 142ft@6000rpm
-Cost is around 3k-5k max

Both are great choices but my vote is on the JDM k20a. Have fun deciding.

Yes I may be wrong. Where did you get 152 torque from? Mind showing me where you learned of its specifications?

It's a Honda, there is no 200+ ft/lbs of torque for such a high reving/small displacement engine when it's stock.

Only American or European cars have that much torque stock, and yes, i know there are exceptions.

You forgot to convert.

206 (N・m[kg・m]) @ 7000 = 152 ft/lbs. @ 7000
