Default smelly 03 accord

This is going to sound like a wierd post but this is kind of bothering me. I have an '03 accord LX. Since I first got the car, the car gives off kind of an egg smell even when the airconditioner and the heater is off. I went to my service center and he said it was normal and that all the 03 accords have that problem. I think he was just trying to get me out of there. Was he lieing? Does anyone else with this car have this problem. thanks

Ah a common normal problem. Pretty funny...

Were you able to maybe pinpoint where in the car the smell is coming from?

Or maybe outside the car?

raise the vents, the inlet vent for the air, not the one in the interior

I have an 03 Accord EX and I don't remember ever smelling like egg. When I had my car for the first half a year or so, I could smell the leather in the car. Other people also commented on the leather smell even after many months.

Might try cutting back on Omega 3 fish oil pills.

There is a service bulletin to fix your complaint. The dealership should of taken care of it. Things they do for this particalar service bulletin are: Replaced Catalytic Converter, Remove rear bumpercover and taillamps, Apply ribbon sealer on a few body seems and plug a few holes with it. Install plastic flaps over a few holes, Reinstall bumpercover and taillamps.

A sulfer smell from the cat seeps into the interior through body seams/water drain holes.

Bring it back to the dealership and tell them to fix it. The Service Bulletin # is 03-091

check your entire exhaust system. You might have a plastic bag on the exhaust somewhere.
