I will be returning to throw my weight around. Perhaps I'll feel like an FTD this weekend...

Pro-STS, it's a stock Celica, I just run STS for the PAX since I'm on street tires. My wife runs the car (and is pretty fast) in D-Stock.

I'll definately be there on Sunday. I'm racing Street Tire with a '97 ITR. Everybody keeps saying Laurinburg is sooooo grippy but I wouldn't know. The only other time I attended I had a GST with cheapie tires. It should be interesting to see how the Azenis handle out there.

I wanna go, but it's a little far for me.

On the upside, I'll be at NHIS this weekend. Yay road-racing.

Or maybe not. Just found a sizable oil leak. Perhaps I'll bum a ride with Whipple in Hoppe's STX monster.

That was a good time. Refreshing to drive a working car for a change. I was in the borrowed blue Tire-class MR2 Spyder...coning away winning times. Again.

I wouldn't want to be a part of STS with THSCC.

Tom,
I showed up in "the most expensive $E-R ever" and then I proceeded to open the can of Whoop-*** I brought with me. Won STS by over a second. I don't know where I paxed, but my last run felt like a top 5 run.

I took yours out for a fun run. Goddamn that thing is good. On run #2, I matched Whipple's time

BTW, I *HATE* the ABS system on your car. HATE HATE HATE it. It sux like something that sux very much indeed.

That course, by contrast, did not suck. That was as much fun as you can have at an auto-x IMO.

How about Pro class?? I think I would have been 5th. If Hoppe had been there, 6th. With a 70.8 in STS!!!

Great Saturday, but a Sunday I would rather forget. Finished 3rd in ESP, coned away a 68.6 wich would have taken 2nd in ESP and a top ten raw time

Also corded a Victoracer 2 days at L'burg + 2 drivers + 3120 lb car = DEAD TIRES

Damn, I cant get my STS2 CRX prepped fast enough.....

You'd never have thought a WRX could do that sort of stuff eh? What did shawn have to say about your 2nd run? Did you happen to ride with him? I want to figure out why he's not faster in the damn car!

I know exactly how you feel. The secret is getting your braking STARTED while the car is settled. If you unsettle the car after youre already on the brakes, the car doesn't freak out nearly as much.

Buckley ran a 69.2 in his STS car

Didn't have much nice to say. Told me "That's quite enough, you're done" and took the keys away. In an unrelated note, I think you need new tires.

You likely would have run a high 66.

And a fun run of 68.0. Bastard.

Yea, shawn was dumb for not taking the real tires. They probably would have been a few secs faster.

Ooo! Ooo! Can I play? After all, my suspension costs more than my car is worth AND is broken after two months of street driving!!! YAY!!

had a blast this weekend!

only managed a 44.4xx, not as good as some, but i had a great time and still managed to beat my friend and his sm STI. After all this was my first thscc AutoX and only my 5th AutoX ever

ive never seen a track that big! Im used to smaller cape fear scca courses and this thing was like 4X the size! nice and grippy, challenging, and alot of fun!

can't wait to run some more thscc events

I knew I should've moved to STS/Open & given you the usual flogging. I had nothing for Buckley, unfortunately. I know the car could've run a 68.x, but I think I was trying too hard & not really used to the new suspension setup yet.

Of course, I did reportedly run a 69.x in Scott's Civic Si on my very first run in it or any other Civic Si in my entire life, so maybe I'm wasting my time on the 2.5RS???

As far as PAX, I was 10th & you were 11th. Too bad we couldn't repeat the 1st & 2nd from Sanford last year...

edit: aajohnson, you actually ran a 76.423 (to my wife's 75.178 )
