It's a 98 Milano Red Integra GSR with a salvage title. It was a theft recovery, but I know the exact history of this car. It was stolen by a group of people and the only thing they took was the motor, leather interior and GSR wheels. My friend rebuilt the car and the exterior and interior is practically flawless now. A low mileage 98 GSR motor was swapped in, leather interior and GSR wheels as well. My friend owns the shop, so there will be absolutely no problem with the motor. The best part of this car is that the chassis ONLY has 15k miles! The girl who previously owned the car hardly ever drove. So the car is basically a stock 98 Milano Red GSR w/ 15k miles in near perfect condition. I'm thinking about picking it up for around 6k. Does that sound about right? What do you guys think is a fair price? Thanks in advance.

 

well, a 98 with a clear title is worth probably $9500 plus or minus $1K in a private party/retail setting. trade-in about 8K or so.

Now, if you like the car and plan to keep it for a long time, go for it! Just remember if you want to sell it, it will be very difficult to get a good price. Salvage title cars are worth 50-60% of a clear title's current value, UNLESS you find a buyer who likes the car.

Just keep that in mind. If you like it, want a GSR, and plan to keep it, that is a good deal.
