Default Crossfire SRT-6

http://www.caranddriver.com/ar...=8311

Have many of you seen this vehicle? i know even in it's convertible form it's not the same as an S but who would pay 49,995 for this thing? It goes to show there are still suckers in the world. People who buy cars like that must not know about S2000's

blah who would buy that thing. it's ugly...besides the regular one isn't fast at all, and the supercharged version isn't that much faster...altho the supercharged version is faster then the S, (not by much) almost a drivers race..... i'd still get the S over it for 20k cheaper... and with that 20k i'd supercharge the S and be way faster then that thing... damn i love hondas...

Csaba had a good point in the Counterpoints section.

Basically he believes that since it only comes with the auto and it is very harsh, it won't sell well (as people who like autos generally do NOT like harsh rides...and thos that do like harsh rides do NOT like autos). True.

Also, the price is just way out of line. $30K is what the regular ones go for (minus the incentives of course). I think that they should have priced it at $36K or $41 for the convertible.

I don't like the crossfire anyway...feels like driving a big mattress.

yeah i forgot about it only coming in auto... what a joke.. hehehe.. how could you have a car like that and get an auto.... it's like getting a sports car in auto, it's a waste....

but yes.. with 20K of leftover money... get a supercharger, aem ems, wheels, suspension.. ... you could have a decked out S by the time you're done... it's an easy choice s2k over crossfire in a heartbeat....

SRT-6 basically is SLK 3.2L V6 with Kompressor in it.
Who would want recycled MB for 50k?

not when the old slk32 and c32 msrp'ed around 52k. I don't know off hand what the slk55 and c55 msrp now, but the crossfire should have come in around 40k imo.

If i recall the 32 ran 12.8-13.2 and amg makes good auto's, but I would still prefer the option of a manual

Well they didn't technically sell it to Chrysler...MB and Chrysler are the same company now...hence the name DaimlerChrysler...

The reviewers over here hated the crossfire. Thay said it was far too soft, the gearbox was crap, and the steering wooly. A classic example of style over content. And who cares if it's faster in a straight line?! Can something be done about 1/4 mile time postings?! 1/4 mile takes no skill as it is driving at full throttle in a straight line. Real driving is about feel, feedback and effort. 1/4 mile requires none of those things.
