well i changed my brakes and on my driver side im hearing a metallic sound which i think is my side retainer clips...i looked at them, they are a bit lose, so i kinda bent them a bit so that they would fit more snug...anywho, what would happen if i just ran the brake pads instead of using the clips?

 

Don't do it. Keep them on there. Did you clean off your rotors? Maybe there is foriegn objects that are in there.
I drove for a little bit with out the retaining clips and that brake always felt wobbly and i could hear the rubbing. Don't remove these.
