Just bought a 2002 Civic Si... Best mods??
Hey, I just bought a 2002 Civic Si. I need to know what the best brands and the best types of products are going to be the best. Because finances are always an issue, I will have to do it piece by piece. The items that I plan on modifying are: suspension, exhaust, intake. Any other good mods that should be done, let me know. I don't want the car to look tacky in any way... so let me know. Thanks.
i think you should research on your own and see what fits you best.. there really isn't thaaaaaat much choices in mods for the EP right now, but soon enough there will be..
keep checking back on this board and browse to see what other peep's set ups are and again see what suits you best.. good luck man.

Some sways, and I/H/E setup and a nice set of coilovers should be a good start if you plan on going the NA route.
As for actual products
Sways - Progress
Intake - AEM/Injen, pretty much the same
Headers - DC Sports Race Header (the DC5/EP3 rh should be pretty much the same design save a few minor differences. Just gotta wait it out on that one)
Exhaust - HKS HiPower. Had one for my RSX. Loved it.
Coilovers... look into that on EPhatch.

My top recommendations are your choice of k20a/a2 swap along with a turbo. An Ep3 running stock internals and a swap gets you over 300whp. CybernationMotorsports did it, so can you with $$$. Anyways thats my recommendations for you as you posted for. Good luck.

tein flexes w/ edfc
mugen twin loop
mugen airbox
other mods, as mentioned type s head, hondata
but, keep ur tranny as is for now. unless ur going fi or more power and circuit racing, u don't need the 6spd tranny man.

i was talking to the head tech at my dealership and he said that aftermarket parts do not void the warrenty. however, is the source of a problem can be traced to an aftermarket part, they wont cover it. ie, if you have a turbo and you throw a rod, you are screwed. but, if you have I/H/E and you bust a gasket, youre fine.

CTR rear sway + Poly Bushings, ~120$
Sound Deadening ~30$ (Jute + lots of time)
Gauges console color LED change ~30$
Grounding kit ~30$ DIY not prefab
S2k Start Button ~40$ (swap stupid blank and hazards for S2k Start)
paint dash (get rid of nuisance colors) etc... 10$
Yellowtop or similar battery no noticeable difference without boom boom ~100$
Ephatch or K-series has some good tutorials. all of the above are pretty cheap and take time not $$$ What to but is never an issue, we all know what to buy... it's what can you do to improve your ride... Over all best mod ever for me, was the Jute... and some asphault sheeting to stop the damn plastic pieces from vibrating inside the doors.... gut your car, place asphault sheeting over the plastic parts, seal inner and outter shell, put jute (fibery carpet padding) on inside, put interior back. makes the car 100x nicer to ride in, almost as nice as some of the sedans out there... ok, not quite, but made a huge difference to me. Throw some new grounding points in your car while you have it ripped apart, you future car stereo will thank you, plus idle etc... is better.

it is illegal for a manufacturer, or dealer to void a warranty simply because after market parts are present. the dealer can only deny your warranty claim, but they must first prove that part caused or contributed to the damage. direct the service adviser to the magnusson moss warranty act.
