Ok, I am not looking for a flame suit here so please don't flame. Today I ran across what I thought was a killer deal, 2 black and grey APC racing seats(Part #124101) Both for $25 brand new in the boxes. They both have the universal sliders included. No, They were not stolen since his name and address is on the shipping label directly from the company. He sold his Civic and he is moving so he just wanted to get rid of them. I think they look real nice and the quality seems good, I just don't like the APC label on the top of the seats. I do have a 1990 Honda Civic Si that I would like to put them in since they feel comfortable to sit in. Does anyone have any experience with this type of seat? Trust me, If I had the money to blow I would buy Recaros or something just as good. I am happy with the stock seats in my Si, But the deal came along so I scooped them up. I am looking for some real comments from people who have actually used them or know someone who has them. How were they to install, Any problems with the seats themselves(quality) ect.? Thanks

we installed those seats for a few customers in the past. they were actually not to bad for daily driving, but don't offer too much lateral support for autocrossing or anything. they tend to wear on the corners a bit though.
install is simply a matter or mating your factory brackets to the universal sliders. be CAREFUL because you can end up with a HORRIBLE sitting position if you don't measure precisely.
good luck man, props on the steal of a deal.

I am looking for more fit and function then looks, Do you think they will offer more support then the stock seats?
if you want to "get rid" of the logo, try dying them in the color of the seat. They won't be gone completely ofcourse...but it's a little less hard to live with.
I'd use just regular fabric dye.

I am going to try to put one in the drivers side for now so I can see how comfortable it is once in the car. hopefully I can do it without butchering my original rail, I may have to locate an extra OEM rail to do the job. My original seats are in great condition and I am going to keep them that way. Thanks for the input guys.
