Rear Carpet for gutted EG Hatches...
I like a lot of people have taken the rear seats out of my hatch.. I even took out the rear seat mounts for a flat surface.
I'm looking to see if anyone has layed down custom carpet to clean things up back there..
Pictues would be cool.. Dimentions would be GREAT!

yea i was just thinking of actually buying some decent carpet to laydown maybe even just do the whole thing from the front to the back and want to know how much carpet ill actually need... i guess i can get a tapemessure, but i wanted to see if anyone had already had an experience with it..
I did mine with the panels still in, but you could just as easily do it without the panels. I just used cardboard boxes to get the shape, and then layed down 2 pieces of corkboard from Home Depot (doesn't weigh anything), and glued the carpet on, done deal.

Thanks.
I believe that with the carpet, corkboard, and glue, it came out to about 20bux at Home Depot. Took about 45minutes to get everything situated, and put back in.

OMG!!!! Rodrez's car is gorgeous...every new pic I see amazes me. Nevermind the expert photoshoots I see.
Try looking at a car audio store or crutchfield.com for some speaker box carpet. I did it in my old car.

Thanks for the compliments. Really it's not hard at all, just a trip to Home Depot, and you'd be suprised how easy (ie: ghetto
) it really is.

I thought about it, for a long time, because a friend offered to torch it off, but I decided to keep it in case I ever decide to put some back seats in again.

I bought it at Ricers R' Us, everyone said "that doesn't do anything, just JDM bling"
A friend of a friend had it for sale, I picked it up from him for really cheap, couldn't pass it up. Really pleased with it.

Yeah, they sell corkboard at Home Depot in large or small sheets. No measurements, I just used cardboard boxes broken down, to trace the rear.
