Default Tranny is F-U-C-T

On my way to VT for thanksgiving, I see blue smoke out the rear view. I think its the Geo Tracker behind me so i speed up to 100 to get away from him. Well the smoke kept on coming so I pulled into the VT Welcome station. As i put the clutch in to go from 5-4, the pedal sticks to the floor and the stick is hard to move. Not good. I stop and smoke starts pouring from the hood and I open it. Big Puff of Blue smoke. Oil is dripping from every where. Tranny fluid on the ground. I put in neutral to try and push it forward to check the oil that had come out, but it wouldnt move in neutral. So I had to have my sister sit in the car and hold the clutch down so i could move it.

Basically I think its FUCTED. They are checking it out on Monday. This better be cover in my warrenty since I havent raced it yet.

Don't believe him! He always says he'll stop by and then he never calls!

Mike - "VIR in a few weeks", does that mean you'll be at Speedtrial?

well i made the call today and got some good and bad news.

Good news: car runs fine now

Bad news: I dont know what my tranny gears look like and I owe them 55-60 for the drain and switch.

Well at the 15K service I am guessing that they put the wrong fluid in the tranny because some how GEAR oil ended up in my tranny. Now Ill do my oil, windshield washer fluid and my radiator if it really needs to be done. But I NEVER touch the tranny. So I know im clean of it. I asked my parents if they ever had it serviced for me and they said no. That and he told me that they have indeed ocationally but never on an Integra drained the wrong fluid and replaced that with the wrong fluid. I would like for them to open up the tranny and check and replace all gears that are damaged and pay the towing as well, but im thinking fat chance. Hell id be happy if they just changed out the gears, Ill pay the towing. So im off to talk to them in a few minutes.

Other than keeping a cool head, any suggestions?

Cool head and a firm talk with the service manager.... Ask him what he plans to do about the problem that was created.

they wont do anything about it because it only goes in for major services so there are gaps in the service history. They wont admit to it.

"Gaps" WTF!?
The only gap should be the one that is between his eyes when you push your fist thru his head....
Sorry... Cool Head.... Sorry..

Gaps... I will never let my car in for service. But if work was done by the dealer... and they did it wrong.

If the work was done by them... and they did it wrong. I don't understand the issue. The tranny flush is not a regular service. Check your reciepts. If they did the flush the last time you where there... heads must roll.

-who took his car by the dealer for a state inspection (only!)... was afraid for her.

valve cover bolts break easier than most people think....I've broken two and I wasn't even using a lot of force...

that's why I keep spares now.
