I pulled out the back seat and all the interior plastics out of my 00 Si so i could replace the rear speakers and wire up my amplifier. At the same time I pulled out the headliner so I could steam clean it because it was dirty. Now with everything pulled out my maplight and Dome light don't work. It looked like the fixture for both lights actually grounded the light. So instead of leaving them hanging i screwed them back up there to ground them. I checked all the connections and fuses and all were good. Everything else in the car works except for the bell to let you know that the lights are on. Does anyone know why they might not work??? Suggestions?????

 

I have same problem, the only time it works is when i push the botton to on but i doesn't work for my doors open sensor

 

Did the light bulb burn out?

 

Same happened to me when I replaced my headliner. First I thought it was a burnt bulb but it still did not work after I replaced it. In my case it turned out to be a burnt fuse.

 

If you replaced your stock stereo with aftermarket, then your dome light will not work when the doors are open. The factory alarm/keyless entry won't work either. This happened to me as well. Let us know how it turns out!
