Make synchro's last longer
I have just bought 1-2 gear synchro's for my old cable tranny. I have had to change tranny two times after a dropped in a 220 whp B20VTEC in my CRX because of this problem. I will replace the short shift kit I have with a stock shifter again and try to shift slower now. Now I thought about if I can spray the new synchro's with a product so they won't be smashed again. Anyone know what can be used?
Thanks

go to http://www.gear-speed.com they sell carbon coated syncro's
they are supposed to last longer and be better suited for higher hp engines

Thanks for the reply's. I have looked at Gear Speed's site before but I'm in Denmark so I will try and find a place here who can do it for me.
I have a buddy to change the synchro's for me but it's not that hard if you have the right tools.

I thought there was a guy that did a write-up of the replacement of his mainshaft in his tranny; it had MANY pics, and would give a very good idea of how to get to the synchros.
