I tryed to search, but didnt know how to phrase it. Anyway, my friend has a 94 accord with an auto f22. When he drives in d4(gear) it bogs and the intake really makes it obvious, (it sounds sorta like brm..brm..brm instead of a smooth vrooom.) then all of a sudden the power hits back and he takes off as normal. It doesnt seem to be as bad when he manually goes through the gears. Oh and it also idles quite funny. I usually post in the ef forum so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

i remember, when i was a lot younger, my mothers old accord, she would drive it, and at times it would take some time before the gear would catch and let it drive normally, and it eventually turned out that the transmission was slipping and it was causing the car to accelerate abnormally. that could perhaps be it, then again it could be something electrical, uhm, check the main engine wiring harness, make sure everything is plugged in and clicked into place, then check the spark plugs, see if they are clean, check their gap, i think its meant to be at .85 right? then check other electrical components that could possibly effect the way the car accelerates...
