ok im about to start a bad *** b16a project. i have the block and crank but the block needs to have a sleave job and i was wondering who made the best ones?as far as the over all setup i want to have je pistons with 11.5:1 compression i also need to find who makes a good bare head ill build it with titanium valves,valve springs,retainers and toda spec b cams,itr intake,70mm tb,dc 4-2-1 header.i think it will kick *** in a 91 hatch.but any help will be cool thanks

 

What are your goals for the car?
Why not spend a few more dollars and do this to a b18?
If you do that to a b18 it will definately kick ***!

 

yeah i could do this to a b18.but i already have the block and i just want to see what i can do to a b16a. also with a b18 is their not hood clearence probs?im not looking to be the fastest hatch in the world its not going to be for racing all it is is some joy ride for me. other than that does anyone have an answer to my orig. q?

 

dart sleeves already have deck plates so you wont have any problems there aftermarket heads are iffy I have had much exp. with them but I have heard alot of good about alanize tech and his head work i think you have to supply the internals though and all the rest is just a matter of personal pref.

I already got the engine and it should be done being put in tomorrow. The engine has about 70k on it. Doesn't really matter anyway, I think I'm going to get a shortblock thru earl and just throw the turbo on the engine i got now till it blows. By the way, do 19's fit on rex's?? I was about to ask in the forum
