Default 88-89 corner lights to 90-91 corner lights

Well, I got the 88-89 corner lights along with the fenders and all for $20 from the in town importer a while back, and figgured I'd find a way to use the 90-91 corner lights later on. Well, local importer came thru again w/a $10 90-91 corner lights and they just sat in the garage for a while.

I was thinkin this was going to take some serious riggin to make this work, but with the h4h headlight housins, it was a piece of cake.

As you can see right here is where the corner light is secured with the screw. The way the lights are held on there w/out a gap is b/c the headlights themself have slots for the corner lights to slide onto them.

In a nutshell if you're a 88-89 car and don't wanna find new fenders, it worked for me.

so you put corner lights from an 90-91 on an 88-89 fenders? was this on a crx or a civic? this kind of swap won't work on a crx I guarantee that, unless you do some modding to the fender.

This was on a 88 civic hb. I didn't do a thing to the fenders. The way the fenders sit on there w/out screws for that edge is that the inside of the 90-91 lights have hooks sortof to hook onto the fender.

Ok well I just didn't feel like uploadin them from the phizone, but here they are...
This is it w/out the screw going through it.

this is it w/out anything connected to it. This is the part where the 90-91 corner light is held in place. They also slide into the side of the headlight housing, but I don't have a pic of that part. So I guess you'd need (if you were in usdm front end form, 90-91 headlights)

OT: And this is my friends rb25 powered 240 about to be on crack.

nice turbo, should spool up pretty quick with an rb25, looking at the exhaust side housing. Looks about the size of the gt72 we have sitting on the shelf.

I had to brag about my friend, since the b16 will never catch up to him now. He went from owning a turbo gsr and a suzuki gsxr600....to a pos truck, a lot of money, and two 240's and the r33 clip...and a house full of power goodies. Tdo5 w/a 82 or 83 a/r trim...??? I don't know turbo talk.

But yeh, corner lenses still hangin in there nice and tight...looks much better now.
