Where to mount the oil temp guage?
As many of you have seen my previous post, I am in the process of plumbing up an oil cooler with a remote canton/mecca filter as well. My question of the day is where should I mount the oil temp guage? I saw an adaptor in Pegasus that I could drill and tap my canton/mecca filter cap and place the sender there. Is this the best place? I assume I would want it before the oil cooler, but should it be in the oil pan, where it is potentially the hotest? Or am I only really looking for consistancy? Please advise. Thanks in advance!
Well if thats too generic put it in the valvecover?

Cause that's the temperature of the oil BEFORE it goes on its journey.
Some like to take it just before the oil cooler to get the MAXIMUM temperature of the oil. If you are running conventional oil
it breaks down at a certain temperature.
