Default Are there rivets in the metal inside the rear bumper?

Giving the '03 Accord a cleanup today....noticed a sharp protruding spot in the paint on the rear bumper. I'm pretty **** about the car and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed it in the year that I have had it. Almost looks as if something sharp from behind the bumper is poking out......looks like if it worked out anymore that the paint will crack. Understand it is not dented "in", but is an "outsy".
Any ideas on the cause of this?

that has to be one of the strangest things ive heard in a while, well, lets see, uhm, the inside has a metal beam, but i dont think anything attached to this beam can protrude so far out as to make the 'outsy' on your bumper, im just not sure, but i think the best bet would be to try and post this up in the cosmetic or appearance sections...the techies dont care for meticulous paint care! j/k, good luck, post back so i can know what it is...
