7gen suspension questions
Good day/evening(night?)
I'm new on this forum and need little help.
Trying to decide which springs/struts or maybe coilovers put on my 2003 Accord V6 sedan.
Never touched suspension before and get lost trying to figure out which way to go
)
I'm looking for a very subtile drop, no more than 2 fingers front (~1.4"), 1 rear (0.7")
If it is possible I would like to get smother ride with better road feeling at the same time keeping comfort on a stock level (at least).
Right now I have Comptech 22mm rear sway bar and 17x8" 45mm offset Kosei wheels with 225/45-17 Eagle F1 tires
Car handles and feels so much better that stock but sill has some noticeable body roll and on some bumpy roads doesn't quite holds well.
Here's what I found so far:
1) TEIN HIGH.TECH springs (~$180)
Like the price and saw few very favorable reviews but having doubts it they will work well in a long run with OEM shocks.
Even TEIN claims that they were developed specificly for OEM shocks but still ...
It appears that alignment needs to be re-adjusted after installation and rear chamber kits will be required so here another ~$300
2) Koni Yellow shocks with H&R springs (~$700?)
3) TEIN SS-TECH coilovers (~$800)
2&3 much more expansive and I doubt if I ever will use advantage of adjustable suspension.
I heard SS-TECH may introduce some bouncing when adjustments set to high-comfort level.
Definitely do not want any bouncing
Is there any other options?
My wheels are slightly sticking out (may be by few mm, here's photos http://public.fotki.com/alexat...ccord/ ) so I guess I should be really careful with lowering.
Is there any way to determine how low you can go and if I'm going to rub or not?
Any thoughts or comments are very welcome!!!
Alex
