i'm wondering if a theif can get a 2001 gsr started without any keys. i heard that the 2001 models have something inside the key that is needed to start the car. so is it possible for someone to drive the car off without keys?

 

As pessimistic as this sounds, it is always possible to take a car, no matter what you have done to it. All you can really do is make it so only better and/or more determined theives are willing to do so. I mean, if nothing else, they can always just use a flat bed.

Just the same, I've already got lojack (great insurance discount), and will be adding an alarm with a fuel pump kill and relocating the hood release cable. No reason to make it easy for them.
