(SEARCHED) Pre-Install Questions regarding Skunk2 Intake Manifold
I was reading an older post and read the list of things needed for install which was:
-AEM Type R CAI
-2 feet of 3/8" hose
-2 feet of 5/16" hose
-Hose Clamps
-Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
-NON-GSR Throttle Pulley
-ITR throttle cable
-ITR throttle bracket
-Vacuum cap for the second coolant spout (on the bottom right of the manifold)
-Vacuum cap for the fpr nipple on the back of the manifold.
-3/8" T-Fitting
-Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Why can't I reuse the GSR Throttle Pulley/cable/and bracket?

the gsr throttle cable sits higher resulting in the throttle cable rubbing the hood when its closed..cant really get strut bar on as well

oh alright...and does anyone have an answer as to why I would need a different throttle pulley? What pulley can I use exactly? Can I use one off of a 95 Civic Ex?

the gsr throttle pulley turns the wrong way. a pulley off a 95 civic should work.
you can use the stock gsr throttle cable... but it will hit the hood and look a bit odd.
the gsr throttle cable bracket will hit the strut bar during engine flex. you need to take the strut bar off if you decide to keep the gsr throttle cable/bracket setup.

ohh alrite...why is the GSR manifold so different from the rest of the honda family?! Haha...can anyone verify that the 95 civic throttle pulley will work. Reason I ask is that there is a 95 civic throttle body on sale on ebay for $15 and I'll just buy that if it works.

Is there any other throttle cables that will work...ITR throttle cables seem pretty scarce
EDIT: I called Acura and they sell them for $23.00. I'll just get it from there.
