Default gas milage mods

Hey guys,

Just wondering what I can do to my car and get better milage. I know you cant ask for better milage then a civic but its worth asking.

I would assume that cold air would be were I should start looking.

Thanks.

Intake, header, Exhaust and a MSD ignition.

Depending on what model you drive, you could also swap trannies.

mold some plastic to seal off the rear bumper (or just cut dumb holes in it) to reduce drag

Seafoam, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, fluid flush. Basically Seafoam and the 90K maint plus wires. Netted me almost 10 mpg.

Wow you car must have been in rough shape to net 10mpg...

When it comes to headers, I see numbers like 4-2-1. What do the numbers mean? Also, if I get a header, would be safe to assume that my car will get louder?

Are there any different ones? I hate to be asking all these questions. This is my first Honda...

Get a magnetic fuel saver and put in on the fuel line just before it goes to the fuel rail.

You know, you'd think that. There was seriously nothing wrong with the car, and it still ran great. I thought the loss in milage from when I bought it was due to my mods, and the fact that I pushed the car harder with them. I've done the same things to the car at 30 and 60K with the exception of seafoam and wires, and never had a change in milage. So seafoam for me.
