I was wondering how many people are actually running slicks on there stock axles? Can our stock axles handle slicks?

 

It depends on how much HP you are pushing...

I know alot of people on homemadeturbo.com are running stock axles.

I read somewhere once 300HP and slicks is ok, but not much more HP than that.

 

they definitly can take it. usually they break at the line during a bad launch and driver error. user sixtydashone has ran 10s on stock axles as well as many other people on here.

if you plan on drag racing frequently, look into some aftermarket axles like gators or prodrive if you have the money. they arent a bad investment.
