Canadian Honda's?? WTF
I just got my '94 Civic DX hatchback, and found out it is Canadian. I thinks it's an EH2/3 D16. If anyone has any helpful info fro me on engine type, Hp and Tq numbers, that would be a great help. Thanks alot.

I have a CDM DX, and it's the same as te US one.
you're probebly thinking of the CX, we don't have the 8 valve version.
we have the d15b7 in our CX and DX, just with less options.

my 93 cx was made in canada also.. and it is the 8 valve piece of crap stock engine that i got in it.. im selling that motor and it runs got like 60'gs on it if any wants it for 50 bucks... serious.
My DX coupe was made in canada too. Same as USDM. The "crappy horsepower and torque" are due to the fact that the engine is a 1.5 non-vtec. If you can find a faster engine that's only a 1.5 sohc non-vtec i would be very surprised. I just think it's great when the crappy american car drivers are like "wow, what kind of engine is that, is it vtec?" and they almost crap themselves when i tell them what it really is.

HCM started building '87 Accords in late '86
In late '87 we switched to 4th gen Civic 3 door hatch (4 door sedans built in Ohio)
In late '91 we switched to 5th gen Civic 3 door hatch (4 door sedans built in Ohio)
In late '92 we started building 5th gen Civic 2 door coupe (also built in Ohio)
In late '95 we switched to 6th gen Civic 3 door and 4door (coupes built in Ohio)
In late '96 we started building Acura 1.6 EL in addition to Civic 3 and 4 door
In late '00 we switched to 7th gen Civic 4 door sedan only (and Acura 1.7EL) (coupes built in Ohio and hatches built in England)
Also...
In '98 Plant 2 opened and started building 1999 Honda Odyssey
In '00 we started building Acura MDX (as well as Odyssey)
In '03 we started building Honda Pilot (as well as MDX and Odyssey)
In '04 we stopped building Honda Odyssey (production moved to Alabama)
If your vin starts with a "1" it was built in the US
If your vin starts with a "2" it was built in Canada
If your vin starts with a "J" it was built in Japan... like my EG
