My 91 Accord LX while I'm driving at any steady speed the RPM gauge goes from 3, 5 to 1 and the engine will stop running. I will put in neutral and start the car no problem, then switch to drive to continue driving works fined. Then back again but not all the time. Maybe 3 to 4 times a day, I did replace the ignition coil it fixed the problem only for a week. Anybody out there who knows what's wrong with my car?

 

Are you getting any CEL (check engine light)?

 

Yes when the engine dies, but when it's running I don't have the check engine light on.
