Default si harness...

exactly wut harness do i need for this to be put in my 96 hatch?
i just bought the player, it came wit no wire?

The player didn't come with a harness? What player is it? Where did you get it and if you are talking about a 1720, it does not come with one. It should come with a harness for the radio side, but not the car side.

oh damn, im an idiot...
i bought a si cd player 2000. and it didn't come wit any wires... wut wires/harness do i need?
i dunno much about audio...just need to put this in my 96 hatch

dude you don't need no wires, it plugs directly to the stock harness, but when you bought that cd player, did the person give you the security code?

Actually a 00 Si CD player will not plug directly into a 96. The 99 and up hondas genrally use the metra 70-1721 harness and 98 back uses 1720. So you will need a 70-1720 for the car side and a 71-1721 for the deck. Match the colors solder or crimp them together and thats it, well except for the security code if thats an issue.

ooo **** i forgot about that....your right, you do need to splice and crimp because the 96-98 and 99-00 are different. You can also get those wiring harness at a Wal Mart. I found one that was compatable with 96-00 civics. It had two Plugs, one for 96-98 and one for 99-00. hope that helped, sorry for the misinformation.
