It just started smoking and blew up in flames.... It's a total loss. I am so sad right now.

Sorry to hear that. This ladys car caught on fire 2 days ago in front of my job, although I think hers was more of an insurance scheme.

that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

My friend got his car back from a shop once that it was having some work done at and we pulled up to the park right after he got it to see some people. We got out and a second later we looked back and his car was smoking. A neighbor came out with a fire extinguisher and gave it to my friend. He ran up and looked under and sprayed the area which had now started to flame. Once it was out, we found it was a shop rap that was left on top his catalytic converter.

Another friend of mine car was stolen and burned. It caught the garage it was behind on fire a little, just some roof damage. The owner of the house found out my friend info from the police and he tried sewing my friend for it. Later he dropped it though.

The other day I went out to my car and saw the maintenance truck for the apartment I live at was torched. Someone had set the cab on fire and totally screw it all up.

I had a car catch fire while driving about 3 or 4 yrs ago. Driving for about 3 hours, stop to get gas, and back on the highway. 1/2 hour later, through a tollbooth, accelerate, and car is sputtering, barely running. Look at the gas guage, it's only 1/2 full. I pull over, look under the car, and poof, gas line catches right under the tank near the fuel filter.

I was moving at the time after college, so I lost everything. Books, all my projects and lab reports, camera equip, stereo equip, not to mention my baby itself. Sat and watched it burn on the side of the road for 45 minutes, helpless. Worst experience ever, I still haven't gotten over it.

I actually used 3 full sized fire extinguishers from some tractor trailers that had pulled over to help, so I could at least get my stuff out. Didn't even phase the fire. The plastic and tar under the car was smoldering, and the gas kept catching, nothing I could do but watch.
