Default aftermarket alarm--warranty--extra repair costs?

hi I need some opinions,
I am thinking about having a clifford alarm installed in my s2000 but then I was told by honda that if the alarm is installed wrong it could void part of my warranty.......the electronics shop said if that happens they will be responsible for work that they did not do right............but of course they are going to say that now. I also called honda customer service and they said that if I have any kind of repair and they have to unhook my aftermarket alarm, they will charge me to have it hooked back up.

Has this happened to anyone? where you had a warranty problem or where the dealer charged you more to hook your aftermarket alarm back up after a repair?

I could install the honda alarm but it costs more and does not have the responder that I was looking for that the clifford alarm has.

any advice is appreciated.
