4-1 vs 4-2-1 headers: pros and cons?
Thanks for making me more confused now. Yeah, you should get some sleep.
Some guy will say 4-1s are better for drag applications because they give you better top end, while 4-2-1s are better for the street because of the low/mid range grunt. Then you ask the next guy and he says the exact opposite! So which is it? TECH!!!!

I have a swapped motor that sits kinda low. (b16 w/avid mounts in 88 dx hatch).
I have 4-1 headers. I occasionally hit them on speed bumps and things like that.
If i had 4-2-1 the oil pan would get all the damage.
I'd rather bang the header than the oil pan.

Glad the issue's finally clear. Thanks. Plan on getting 4-2-1s soon since i have no intention of drag racing my daily driver. Isn't lowered either, so i guess i won't have any scrape issues. Guy who's gonna do the custom exhaust says he's checking out a slightly used 5-Zigen that's going for 240. Not bad eh?

it is A header. since when does a b16 have two exhaust manifolds?
