I heard from ppl u can legalize ur motor n that u can get it smog n pass
for example
92-95 coupe with b16/w stock 00 si airbox
high flow cat
stock header

after swap u can get it test at REF n dey give u a DMV sticker so wen a cop pull u over u can stuff the sticker in his face n he'll leave u alone

is this true???? if u guys noe that it can be done can u guys give me some tips or information on legalizing a motor

 

Damn, that was a difficult post to read... Yes you can get a motor swap legalized in cali (usdm or jdm) with all the appropriate usdm smog equipment. There are tons of posts on this website with this information. Please familiarize yourself with the SEARCH function (top right hand corner of the screen). Try to make your posts easier to read so you won't get flamed on!

 

Yes you can "legalize" an engine swap. Most people call it a BAR Certificate but call it what u want. In California one of the main things is that the engine you are swapping into the car MUST be NEWER than the car it is going into. All smog equipment must be connected and no check lights are just some of the other things.
