My car's running really cool...is that bad?

I noticed this the other day coming home from work. I was driving home about midnight (it was in the high 60's low 70's outside) and after driving 20 miles at 85-90 mph, my temperature gauge only went up to 1/8. When I do regular stop and go driving, it goes up to a little under 1/2 (which i consider normal for my car). Do you guys think I have a broken thermostat?

How long after you driven your car was the temperature at 1/8th?

I was on the highway for about 15-20 minutes doing about 85 mph. I noticed the temp guage as soon as I got off, then I drove another 2 miles on side streets and the temperature started to go up a little.
