ok im planning to throw a gsr swap in my 96 hb...any one know any good shops in the NYC area to do the job? and also about how much would the labor for the swap cost me? i know of one in woodside and they said anywhere between $1200-1800 for labor to do the swap. pretty steep prices or what? help me out!

damn! 1200 for labor! im not in nyc but uin westchester u can easily get ur swap done for $500.

 

if you have some tools and some space , do it yourself. its a good learning experience. or you can give me some money and ill throw it in

No seriously, Isn't there a shop called Pahse2 Motorsports in like LI? I've heard of it but couldn't find any info, hopefully you have better luck than me. But if you find anything, be sure to post up info for the rest of us

 

yeah i was considering doing it myself at first....i have a private garage so the space isnt an issue but then again i lack the tools and knowledge....and i dont have to many buddies with the expertise to help me...most of my buddies drive VW..not big fans of hondas ... so once again if anyone knows any good shops...please post them

You can try DRT in woodside, RPM in Queens Village, Eastern in Flushing, Claws in Fresh Meadows, NRG in Long Island, Fizz in Bayside. There is also a spot by the shea stadium area. Also hit up Dan gsr on the board he also does swaps

 

yea all those shops badguyny mentioned are good. two of my boys got their engines through rpm and then did the swaps themselves. they cool people.

 

all those spots u just mentioned sell engines and do the swaps right? any idea how much they charge for the swap? good prices or do they beat you on the head ?

 

i think eastern and fizz just sell parts. I'm sure DRT and RPM can help with the labor.

 

go to DRT they will bang that swap out in a day and if u need part they got alot of stuff there.
