What are the best wheel/tire combinations for the RSX Type S?

I'm interested in buying a set of wheels and tires for driver's ed track days - probably will stay with 16"s -
Anybody go with aftermarket wheels and tires yet for the track?
What width can you get to without rubbing? 225/50 according to Tirerack, but I'd like some practical experience. Would a wider wheel be necessary?
Anyone know the exact offset for the stock wheels?

i have a rsx-s and i have bought after market tires, the factory tires suck, a good tire is the Falken Aziens. the size is a 205/55 r16. its the factry size. but these tires grip real good

Have you had them on the track at all? If so, how did they handle? How's the treadwear?

the tread wear is ok, they only rated at 15-20 k miles. but these are good around corners. go to http://www.Falkentires.com and get all the specs on the tire. but for me they have been handling good. check the site out and determine for yourself.
