Default ZC motor questions

Ok guys need a little advice: I picked up a crx w/ a blown motor for $400. I am looking for a stock D16a6 motor but I cant seem to find one that is still together with low mileage. I have heard of the sohc ZC(d16a?), but its carb'd. I was told by an unreliable source that all I would need to do is to bolt up the multi FI d16a6 manifold and the dist. and the rest is the same as the D16a6 usdm version? Anyone ever done this? All I need is a daily driver so perf. isnt a priority. What are the specifics of this swap? Any differences with the USDM vs JDM D16a motor? Thanks

Just so you know I am talking about the sohc ZC not the DOHC version. I need to know what diff. there are between the JDM ZC sohc and the usdm D16a6?

Both the single and double overhead cam ZC's should bolt right in. The fact that it is not fuel injected will not make any difference if you use your intake manifold. There probably isn't a whole lot of difference between the jdm and usdm versions of this motor.

the SOHC ZC comes in both carbed and Fuel Injected...Try to get the FI one..(i have no idea how to convert a carbed to FI or if the a6 manifold will even bolt up(the dohc zc isnt interchangable with the a6))

Get the DOHC if you can its about the same price and puts out 10 more hp than the SOHC ZC

A6 108hp
ZC sohc 118hp
ZC dohc 128hp

Take your choice...they are all the same price.....

If you would like to wait 3 weeks ill have my A6 out and my zc in...
