Default dohc zc intermediate shaft question

hey guys i have an 89 si crx w/ a dohc zc in it and i honestly have been so confused for the past year and a half about the whole axle thing I get mixed stories about everything.... its actually not my car anymore because i sold it, but the dude who has it now is still having problems. if u could answer a few questions that would be great. How do i know if its a zc tranny or what kind of tranny it is? i tried to use the stock crx si axel but its a few inches too short and comes apart on the first turn u make. so we thought maybe we would need the intermediate shaft, my friend took his off his car and the dude tried to use it on his but i guess its got 28 splines on that one and wont fit. how many splines do the zc intermediate shafts have? and is it true that if the stock si axels fit then it isnt a zc tranny anyway? could someone plz clarify the whole thing about usin b series inners or whatever, if i do that what axel do i need? sorry for such a long post but i've been very frustrated!!

Default Re: dohc zc intermediate shaft question (3rdgenh22)

if u don't have the zc intermediate shaft, ur tranny is useless because there is no us counter part for a zc intermediate shaft.
if u do have it, the right axles to use are 90-93 integra axles. that's what i'm using with my zc tranny.
i bought the 90 integra left and right axles with no abs and they fit perfectly
