Default is it ok to use 1/2" plexi for sub box window?

I am making my sub box tomorrow and I am wondering if I can use 1/2" plexi-glass for one side of the box. The rest of the box is 3/4" MDF, and I tried to get 3/4" plexi, but a local shop cannot get it until next week (I am attending a car show this Sat, so I had to do the 1/2"). Anyway, just wondering if this is ok. I am not cutting a small window in the MDF, but actually making one whole side of the box plexi. Will it vibrate or sound like ***? The sub which I am building the box for will be getting about 800-1000 watts RMS (no, I am not an idiot, I've done the math and research, this is not the "hyped" up or advertised rating, it is truly what the sub will be receiving).
Thanks for the help
Tim

as long as you don't make the panel too large, it will be fine

17"x14"
15.5"x9.5"
15.5"x9.5"
i'm a lil worried about the 1st (larest piece, but we'll see what happens

The plexi is going to flex at that kind of power. If you can brace it, it will work better but won't look that nice.
