Help - Loud deep noise at idle, and 1800 rpm
Over the past 3 months or so my car has been making a really deep and loud noise that comes from the engine bay, but I can't pinpoint exactly where. It happens at idle sometimes, but not always, and is more likely to happen at idle if I put a load on the motor (by turning on a/c or using steering). Also, the same noise happens in every gear as I pass through 1800 RPM.
At first, I thought that the problem might be my clutch since it had been slipping sometimes, so I ordered a new ACT clutch kit and flywheel along with it, and had that installed at the local Honda dealer. Unfortunately the noise is still there after the clutch install and now I really have no idea what it could be.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hey thanks for the idea, that is a possibility with the added power of the turbo on the motor.
Is it possible that a bad mount could be the culprit with the loud noise that I am getting at 1800 RPM in every gear? Sounds kinda like a deep 'brrrrunt' noise.
Thanks for the help

It could obviously be alot of different things but I have had some unusual problems due to bad mounts... It's kind of like when a tire is out of balance and it seems to only vibrate/make noise at certain speeds... Just an idea! Let us know what's up.
I kind of had a sound like that... turned out my timing belt was to tight( was kind of like a buzzing sound every now and then)
