What AC compressor/bracket do I use for a B18B into 97 Civic EX swap? dfw / dallas
I blew the compressor that was on my stock d16y8 engine. I am having a B18B put in, but need to retain my AC-hot as hell here in Texas in the summer time. I read that I need the stock compressor, but my mechanic says I need the mounting bracket off a 94-97 Del Sol with a stock b16 engine. Just want to check on this.

PS-Anyone have these parts for sale in/around dfw?

Use the Civic's compressor and the Del Sol's bracket

Use the Civic's compressor and the Del Sol's bracket
you can also use the jdm a/c bracket. If you have a b-series swap you can utilize this bracket with any civic a/c compressor.....its aluminum and weighs about 2 lbs. but its kinda pricey.....@ jdmhondaparts.com it costs about $120.00

Since your Civics compressor is bad you might be better off using the Integra compressor and bracket. Im not sure the lines will match up but I think they will. Try searching for info on Integra compressors in Civic.
