I have an 88 crx si with a b18a in it. The only code it is throwing is the engine coolant sensor(code 6). First it is hard to get started in the morning or if it sits to long but even when i get it running it still has an erratic idle. and when i try to hold a stedy speed at anything above 65 mph it cuts out. could all of my troubles be from that sensor. i have tryed everything i know. help!

Pull the dist. cap off and see if the rotor is loose because ls motors
are known for that.

Yea definately check the rotor to see if its loose...also check for any moisture inside the cap. While youre at it go ahead and check the plugs/wires. That coolant sensor could hurt your initial startup if its bad and the motor is going directly into open loop. Prolly not though. Does it idle shitty/low until its warm or does it always idle shitty?

well the ect sensor will effect cold starting. check your IAC try pulling off the iac connector while idling and you should see a big idling different(idle much higher with it off), if there is no different then its probably it. ECT is one of the primary sensor tat the ecu will look at during open loop.

i have a crx hf with a b18a1 and my irractic idle is coming from my timing being off. check and double check cam and iginition timing. check your main sensors (TPS, IACV, etc).
