Tranny fluid change
I just read an article on a thread last week from a step by step on a tranny fluid change. Now i've already done this once. However, I forgot what I need besides my tranny fluid (gm syncromesh). I believe its 2 crushed washers, but im not sure, can someone just throw me a bone so I can head down to the store. I wanted to get my tranny and oil done in the next hour so please help me out. Also, can I just pick up the crushed washers anywhere and what size or is it universal.
Or could someone just link me to that thread/post. Because I searched and its not coming up. Believe me, im not noob, I tried....
For anyone that has a turbo teg I also picked up a s2000 oil filter, made of much better material and its bigger...just a bit of advice. I have the part # in my car for anyone that needs it too. They should have them in stock at your honda dealership.

pat if you picked up the s2000 oil filter you could have asked for hte crush washers off a civic si tranny, they are the same size.
but you can drain your tranny and take off the washers. then drie to checkers real fast andhope you don't burn your tranny up. j/k

Not sure if I am going to do this. But tomorrow I have a pretty much booked work schedule so I am not sure if I can make it to Honda before it closes. So, I may have to keep my crush washers (reuse them). Will that be fine, or should I wait?
Be honest, and someone that knows what they are talking about please. don't just say yes or no just to feel smart and be apart of this post.
Thanks

I've changed mine probably about 10 to 15 times and I've only changed the crush washers once, and only b/c I felt like doing it.
You'll be fine.

These aren't the same size but they're exactly the same idea. I use new washers every 4 or 5 times... Unless I wipe off the old one & it doesn't look good, then I'll use a new one anyway.
