P54 A/C BRACKET QUESTION...dont flame, allready searched...
Of course we all know that this is the bracket to use with a b-series engine swap, and a d-series compressor..However, I cant seem to find out if you can still use the d-series pulley, pulley brkt., and bolts....Anyone know, or do I have to get all that b/s too????Thanks
the bolts you can reuse and maybe even the pulley itself. you need the b series pulley bracket though. it pivots on the bracket. d series one wont work cause it slides. you should be able to tell all this when you put both ac brackets beside each other.
Thanks for the info guys, but which is it???One person tells me I can re-use all the d-series parts, and another says I need a different pulley bracket...Dont mean to sound all pissy, I just want to make sure I have all the correct parts....
thanks
thanks
if you get the p54 bracket and compare it with the d series bracket you will see the difference. the bolts will work but the pulley brackets are totally different. the d series slides up and down while the p54 pivots. if you can look at an integra with ac it has the same setup.

There is no more info to keep comming. You can reuse the pulley if you want, thats fine.. You WILL need the bracket for the P54 in order to adap the idler pulley to it and you should also get the tensioner bolt, tensioner nut and the idler pulley bolt for the B series as well. Thats all there is to it. You cannot just use the entire setup from the D series and make it work. There is not enough items there. cool?

this is what i was trying to say. just didnt come out right. you get the p54 bracket, use your a/c compressor, and get the b series tensioner bolt, nut, and idler pulley.
Glad I found this, I am doing the same thing and had the same questions, I am using a P30 bracket, and the compressor doesn't line up, and the tensioner/pulley is completely different.
sorry to bring this topic back up, but which a/c belt do I use, from the civic or which? and will i be needing the b- series idler pully or the idler pully bolt only? is the idler pulley from the civic reuseable yes or no? i'm trying to order all the parts together so i need the complete parts list.. thanks
