Anyone know where to buy a valve spring compressor for a B18C1?
I bought a DOHC VSC and it doesn't fit into my head
Where can I buy one and what brand should I buy?
Brand and part# would be great

Try northern tool company 1-800-533-5545

If you have a regular "C" type VSC, call Goodson Supply (800) 533-8010 and order anCF-24-G adaptor $19.99, it will convert your regular VSC to work on Honda's

Got the craftsman tool yesterday....it needs an adapter of some sort (which i will be fabricating out of some tubing soon) to work on a B series head. But as is I managed to take off a valve successfully so its good in my books. Got it for $19.99 retail, so I cannot complain

I use the snapon one all the time. Its made by someone other than snapon though, so you can probably find in the off brands for quite a bit cheaper, Its really nice to use.

snap on makes a vsc that only costs about $45. it has a magentic nipple at the end that holds your keepers on.
go to snapons website and its either under valve tools or valve compressors.
This tool makes changing out valve springs a sinch.

I'm selling a used Honda valve spring compressor tool for $30 shipped. You can view it on our forum at http://s8.invisionfree.com/MS1...x.php?. It's free to register and takes a minute. Thanks.

will this exact vsc work on a honda (gsr) head (the pic on the right)? I looked at this type at a parts store and there was no way it would fit down into the bowels of my gsr head. Anyone used this exact one?

no, that one in the picture wont work on b series heads. they do work on some of the exhasut springs, but they will never fit on the intake springs. get the snap on tool. i made my and it took me a while to install all the springs and retainers back. should have baught the tool instead of make n one
Stop by your local Kawasaki m/c dealer and ask to look at their factory vsc. Interchangable ends to accomodate different spring retainers.

There's no pic, but the discription tells you pretty good how it works. Easiest valve spring tool I've ever used.
