Default Friend just had local company CCI hack his car

I just saw first hand motor swap done by this company Creative Customs and the charges for it.

I saw a 1000 header CUT UP and modified chgd 90hr for it 5.4 hrs, lower crossmember BENT, Pass side mount modified with ONE bolt in it, pass mount f@#$ up, Motor leans to driver side has about 1" height difference.
Bill showed where the Master Tech broke a thermo housing and charged 90 an hr to fix his F@#$ up, Car was at the shop for 2month and he was chg'd 150 for overnight shipping on clutch......

Im trying to notify people of this. I hope noone else gets raped like this...
I hear others have the same types of issues. Ill get pics and post them up. He paid over 5grand for this work.

Another friend awhile ago had his motor removed, then built by another company and this company reinstalled the same motor. First it was 800. Later when friend went to pick it up it was like 12-1500. This was because the Master Tech could not figure out the stock wiring and charged like 9hrs for trouble shooting. Apparently he didn't hook up the alternator wire, and other sensors were mismatched. Friend had to take it somewhere else to get that fixed.

I know of many other stories and all I can say is pleassssssssse read and research info before you make your decision on having these Master Tech's work on your vehicles.

I try to tell people about this company but no one listens, honestly they don't build anything nice the nice "show" cars they ahve for themselves they buy off of ebay.

i knew one of these storys when i talked to the owner of teh 2nd car a few months ago.

The so called "master tech" in question, as far as i know he dosn't have his L1 cert. He was fired from another place of business around the fredericksburg area (Express Auto) he was TOLD by the ONWER to use the tool on the power steering pump to pull the pulley off of it (ford tarous $500 pump) he didn't, broke the old and the new pump after being told by the owner of the company to use the tool because it woud break. That gives you an idea of the kinda of blatent disreguard for directions this person has.

He as also fired once from the SAME COMPANY! (CCI) for setting a truck on fire (ford ranger) i don't know the FULL story but it is a definate he DID set the truck on fire.

The "Mechanics" name is Chris Reed if you can even call him a mechanic. People around the NOVA/Fredericksburg area DO NOT take your car to CCI because you will get it back hacked up and broken and just done well... WRONG. i know of more horror stories if anyone would like to hear them.

I for one have been through the ASE courses and taken all but 4 of the tests and they are very challenging courses. and this kid does not have the sense to pass a damn IQ test

Bump because I simply CANNOT STAND it when people take no pride in their workmanship, have no real passion for working on cars, and just want their paycheck. Shady mechanics need **** probes.......or something else sinister, done to them!

Well starting September I am going to "North Western of Lima". One of the best schools in the country for a Master Tech degree. I won't be shady

I am Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, and Electronic/Electrical Systems ASE Certified. I am a Honda technician. They are not very challenging, but of course your average joe WILL NOT be able to pass them.

My reasoning of this post to to say you do NOT need an L1 Cert. to be master certified. I know 1 guy at my dealer who is L1 certified. He just passed it for the second time a few months ago. THAT is the hardest test.

this is exactly why i have people i know work on my cars and only take to shops if necessary, and try not to leave it anywhere overnight (the one time when i did, the guy left my doors unlocked and the hood popped)

bump so other people dont get screwed by this place...

Well that depends on what you mean. You can be ASE "MASTER" Certified if you pass all 8 regular ASE test. I have 5 of 8. OR you can be say "Honda Master Certified" but they call it differently. For all you know this guy could be a GM Master tech. I am not trying to argue. Just stating the facts.

From what I hear this master tech.....

He's calling himself a Master Tech. Not ASE or Honda etc....

Simply a made up title with no certification.

Master Tech is not a made up certification. A Master Tech is a person who can do anything and everything with a car. When I get my Master Tech DEGREE not certification. I will be able to do anything from an oil change to a full out custom engine build, Which I will be taking other courses for roll cages, alternate fuels, and a few others. Basically I plan to goto college, get my degree work for a company for about 3-4 years to get the bussiness experience and then start me own shop. My wife will be going to college this fall also for bussiness. She takes care of the books I take care of the work. I also have a friend of mine who wants to do this with me and he is going for a automobile engineering degree.
