Default How much is it worth... ???

I might be getting a 95 civic hatch. Would consider selling my rex if the price is right. what do you think it's worth?

Info
1988 Honda CRX Si, 160,000 km's (99,000 miles)
Body resotred 2 years ago and painted electron blue pearl, NOT winter driven since. Had NEW fender and sunroof.

Motor
d16a6, Gude cam, lightened flywheel, centreforce clutch, basic i/h/e, brand new head gasket (200km ago)

Interior
Complete and MINT except usual driver seat wear. Oil/volt meter's.

Stereo
Cerwin-vega components up front, alpine type-s rear (both 6.5"). MTX 12" w/ custom fibreglass box, eclipse 4ch amp and fosgate 2ch. 4 month old Sony explod stereo. Can remove most of stereo if cost was an issue to buyer.

Exterior
90-91 tail lights, motegi mr7 16x7 rims w/ kumho 712 sized 205-40r16, also have stock 88 si rims w/ good winter tires. clear corners and bumper lights (BLING BLING, haha)

Have full receipts from the last 8 years from previous owner and myself. Alternator is newer and battery is 2 year old.

Everything works great on the car.

On to the pics.

this pic of the milage is 1 year old.

Nice! I would keep your rex... CRXes and EF civics are a dying breed, everybody has an EG egg these days.

well it would be sold for financial reasons.

my g/f and I live together. I own the CRX and a cavalier which I used to use in the winter. She needs a car too in the winter (she drive the cavy in the summer). We know of some1 selling a 95 eg and this might make more sense.

Yeah man keep your car. That is one super clean CRX you got there. If for any thing it might be an investment over time you know?? Either way best of luck to you. But to help you out some, Im not good at guessing prices for cars but if you do sell it. Sell it to somone that knows what header you have, and what a intake does haha. What I mean is sell it to somone that will appreciate the greatness of your car. Dont sell it to some tire kicking wanabe. Agian best of luck to you.

Jeramy

P.S. If I had the money I would most definetly buy your car.

EDIT:
Alright I understand now why you are wanting to sell it. Best of luck to you man.

car was rewleded w/ 20g steel. have pics to proove it. paint is 2 years old, summer only, winter stored indoors. My uncle did the body work over a 6mo period during the 2002-2003 winter. He's been doing body work for over 25 years. the job cost me $2,200 CDN but he said if it were to be done for some1 else it was 6k+ due to all the labour involved in the body work.

It got a NEW pass side fender, NEW sunroof panel, NEW hatch struts.

i'd say the car is worth over 4-5g's but no one really goes out and buys a car all hooked (wheres the fun then huh?), ive seen crx's with over 200k on the in the u.s run as high as 3.5, they're rare now-

Id say a solid $3k USD for it. maybe even 3.5k if you find the right person... Problem is, its so hard to find an uncut/chopped 'rex, that it depends entirely on the buyer.

Check ebay, i dont think i found one 2gen 'rex that hadnt been haxxored...

Good luck in whatever you do, but id keep it. You will regret it one day. I still regret chopping my '86 Si to pieces trying to be an uber racer when I was younger. Now i have a totally mint, stock gem of a 'rex that im desparately trying to take home to the states.

Its all about your passion. I dont think it would be worth it to sell, just keep her covered..start her a few times a year and get a different car if thats what you want to do.

Just my .2
