not really, ive been wanting this ticket so i could take the FREE TEST! but now i have to drive about an hour to court to get it cleared

in WI, the law is any exhaust other than stock is illegal. this means, lets say you get a hole in your muffler and take it to Car X, they put an oem quality muffler on your car..that is illegal because it isnt stock. Oem quality is considered different than stock. i used that in court and got my illegal exhaust ticket dropped...i also brought up CA laws that showed how much more strict thier laws are than ours, and that my exhaust complies with those laws. that made the DA think.

 

my buddyclub spec II is legal too

 

or if you have the time and some money take the ticket to court fight it, get your car exempt and have fun showing your exemption to cops when you get pilled over.

 

i would hate to live in cali....
but if cops are pulling over cars with "modified exhausts" b/c it exceeds the decibel limits, what are the cops doing about the Harley's and choppers that are roaming the freeways and byways of California?

Is there a list thats been made, that has exhaust that have actually been tested or passed the noise test in California?? Not what the manufactures say!! If so somebody should make one

Nothing at all...

 

bike is allowed to be louder because its smaller and harder to see so the sound lets you know its around, well atleast thats what they told me in driving school after the DMV kindly sent me a letter asking me to go

 

One thing I like bout Kansas. I have a exhaust with no cat, still legal cuz they don't even care. Just a bunch of cows outhere so smog is not a issue.

i heard bikes their arent any noise restrictions on bikes. im not sure but thats what i heard. and what about them damn american car's with mufflers? those things are loud as ****. i dont know i love my Rsr .

 

hmmm.... harleys, choppers, mack trucks, garbage trucks, and all trucks in general are 1000x louder than our rice rockets that we drive. plus they pollute 1000x as much as we do.
How many time have you seen a dump truck huffing and puffing black smoke out of their smoke stacks?

Remember all the polluted air that the trucks lets out... is the same air that we need to inhale in order for us to survive... but yet nothing is done to regualte them. meanwhile there are endless amounts of statutes that regulate us and what comes out of our exahusts.


i think we all sense some sort of profiling and discrimination at hand. We all know this from the begininng. You Californians must bring this to an end.

for all the laws that were meant to keep your state clean and quiet should pertain to trucks as well. but if the trucks and bikes can slide from the man with the gun and badge, you guys should too

yea harleys and crap are exempt from noise restrictions, ill copy down what my certificate says for motorcycles.
