Default Why would I choose Full-Race over a Rev-hard kit?

I am in the process of rebuilding my b16 with forged rods and pistons. (9.0-1) I have been told that if i'm not going to build a custom kit for my crx then I should look at the Full-Race kit. I am wondering why I need to spend an extra $1,000 on a Full-Race? I would go with the Full-Race kit if I could justify the extra cost. Any thoughts? I plain to use the car as a daily driver/weekend racer. For now i'm going to run an FMU until I have more funds for a Hondata. Then I will have it tuned by a local shop. Goal is to have 220-250 WHP.

If 220-250whp is your goal go with Revhard, Full- Race kit is a huge overkill for that

why would you go with a full-race kit ? Hmmm quality, just get the revhard that will fill all your needs.

With your goal why are you not running a stock engine? The rev hard is probably more what your looking for.

why not go for more than 250 whp ?? If you have forged pistons and rods ??

IMO you should buy the Full-race to get the best one the first time... but its just my opinion...

After you will get your 250 whp you will need more loll

first of all, what car do you have
you will be hard pressed to be able to fit a full race turbo kit into a crx, (based off your avatar)

the advantages of the full race kit would obviously be its custom turbo manifold, tial wastegate, and 3 inch downpipe.

revhard doesnt even come with a complete downpipe, youd have to still get it made so that you can bolt it on, it comes with a turbo smart wastegate, and a cast manifold. but would fit alot better in your car than the full race kit (again if you have a crx)

hmm if done corectly you could probably hit your goal with a greddy lol, either will be fine to hit your goal. however, i wouldnt ever never ever never use an FMU at the vary least injectors and have someone rom tune it and if that is done corectly u can boost to 10 lbs wayyyyy better than an fmu and with your goals i would imagine you needing hondata for a while.....unless you get the itch that the rest of us have for more and more power but by then you should be able to afford hondata

actually the full race kit fits in the crx with ease. its in my car, i drive it every day. in fact, i put the motor and the turbo kit in the car in about 8 hours. its very simple.

ill post some pictures later, but you have to run a half size rad and if you run a stock crossmemeber you have to cut it up. i have a full-race xmember and it works fine with that.

No other turbo KIT is in the same league with Full-Race, they put ALOT...lemme repeat....ALOT of R&D into there products and when purchasing them you know ya got the best.

I mean comparing rev hard and full-race is like comparing Eagle and Pauter

um people have both gone just as fast with each, lasted just as long, etc...

Full Race is def. The nicest kit out. But what advantages does it offer for a 250whp car? Its not like revhard is ****. I rememember a few years ago Revhard was top of the line. A revhard kit will support just as much HP as the stage 1 FR kits.

I dont think u will be any faster if u had full race kit. From what I know Jason still uses log style manifold and he's running 9's. I dont think its the manifold that makes that big of difference. Last year Brian had a pos manifold(his own words) and he was running 10's. So I dont think its worth spending the money on full Race manifold unless u r looking for bling

for your power goals the revhard will do, but if you want more i would go with full-race they have the turbo kits that make the most power from what i have seen, but you will be happy with which ever one you get, just make shure you run a good ems system
